Weaving Retreat on Camano Island with Mandy Greer, OCTOBER 26th – 28th, 2018

DEADLINE TO REGISTER:     SEPTEMBER 25, 2018    EXTENDED OCT 19th

Join Seattle fiber-based multidisciplinary artist, Mandy Greer, on a retreat to the woods of Camano Island for an expanded version of her popular Wall Hanging Weaving Basics Workshop, teaching the basics and more fancy stitches of tapestry weaving in her own unique style, on handmade table looms with heddle, using a huge collection of luxurious boutique yarns, ethically sourced handspun and hand-dyed yarns, roving and up-cycled fabrics.   You’ll have more than 10 + hours to create a detailed weaving, even if you are a total beginner!

Immerse yourself in weaving while soaking up the gorgeous peaceful natural environment, and come home with a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll be proud of!

Connect, slow down, be inspired by the calm of nature and inspire each other!

ABOUT THE LODGE:  We’ll be resting and creating together at a private rustically elegant hand-built timber frame lodge set on a 20 acre beaver pond wildlife sanctuary at the north end of Camano Island, WA.   Surrounded by 360 degrees of forest and wetlands at the end of a private road, come relax and explore the 2.5 acres of both landscaped and natural habitat, a 6 person enzyme-only hot tub, a large bonfire fire pit with café tables, a quiet reading nook under wisteria arbor, horse shoes and nearby state parks and beaches.

-Only complete registrations, paid in full, with completed contact information of all participants, will receive the Informational Email.

-Deadline to register is SEPTEMBER 25 2018   EXTENDED TO OCT 19th

If workshop and lodging minimums are not met by this date, the retreat will be canceled and you will receive a refund.  Please spread the word about the retreat!

-You may cancel your registrations and be fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After that time, workshop fees and lodging are not refundable but can be transferred to a friend. Or contact me to see if there is a waiting list. **The policy is firm**

-Only registered workshop participants may stay the night.

-If workshop or lodging options sell out, contact me to be placed on a waiting list.

-The workshop is suitable for people 12 and up. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also a registered participant.

-This is a community experience, not at a hotel with a staff. You will be expected to be responsible for yourself, your belongings and your mess. And to treat the beautiful property with respect. Which is great! It’s empowering being a responsible adult. Lodge House rules include shoes off inside, no smoking, and showering before using the enzymes- only hot tub.

-You may bring your own food to meet your dietary needs, but be aware that there is one fridge to share among all participants; as well cooking time in kitchen is shared and limited, so keep it simple.
