Paul Margolis’s Meter Maid Car looking for a home

“I Imagined I was a Meter Maid”, 2002, Paul Margolis
This is my husband’s work, Paul Margolis. I’m helping him clean up some new digital images of this piece so we can find a new home for it. We are hoping to donate it to someone or an organization, with the hope it can be on display so people can enjoy it. People always love this thing when it has been shown! Sadly we can’t store it any longer. It is life size, an exact replica (but quilted out of crazy stuff like vinyl and lace) of the Kushman style buggy driven by Seattle Parking Enforcement officers.

If you have any ideas, please email me!

***UPDATE:  Paul’s Meter Maid Car will be on display at the Bellevue Arts Museum, Bellevue Wa. , beginning Feb. 4th for about 6 months!!***
As I get images cleaned up, I’ll post more to my flickr…

    • Sadly….it did not survive….at least the wood understructure didn’t. We still have the quilting, and someday I want to make some insane blankets out of it….maybe for you Peter…
